Gone Fishin. . .

The day before the 24th, Ty and I along with my little brother Jeff, took the babies fishing. Well actually they didnt fish, just Jeff and Ty did. I just tagged along. We went to my uncles property and to his pond. Lets just say that it was hot and Nixon hadn't napped yet. So it was a bit of a struggle trying to keep him happy and busy. Quin just sat on the blanket and loved it. I did get some of the best pics of her though. Shes got this new thing she does with her face and I cant explain it, you just have to check out the pics of her at the bottom. She makes that face and breathes real hard. Its pretty funny and not to mention adorable. We had a pretty good time, but we didnt stay long cause Nixon was just way to tired and he had had enough. The best part of the day was getting those pics of Quin. I wish Nixon would have been in a better mood though. Hes also got a new thing where everything is his and hes having a hard time sharing, especially with his sister. He didnt really want her sitting in his chair that we brought. I guess its just the age (I hope)!

Pioneer Day!

So for the 24th we had a blast. We went to St George to spend time with Tyler's family. We took the babies swimming at Ty's grandmas pool. It was HOT but the pool was the perfect place to be. Quin stayed in the pool the entire time and loved it. Nixon loved it just as much and he was the perfect little ball shagger for when the ball we were playing with ended up outside of the pool. Ty's oldest sister and her kids were there along with some of Ty's cousins. After the pool, the girls went to the movie and we saw Mamma Mia. It was great. I had seen the play in Vegas last year with Ty's sisters and mom and that was awesome to see. So I knew the plot of the movie. I loved it! Then after we had a good ol' fashion BBQ. It was such a good day. Last we lit fireworks and the kids loved those. Quin not so much. She likes the ones that don't make loud loud noises. She doesn't do noise that well. It scares her. It was just one of those days that went right!!

All caught up!

So i finally finished the series of Twilight and I'm all caught up. It only took me forever to start reading them and catching up with the times of things and what can I say other than, I like em' alot! It took me about six days to read all three of them and let me tell you, I haven't gotten much sleep the last couple of days. Ive been staying up to all hours of the night reading. I just couldn't put them down and now I'm so anxious for the fourth book. I'm glad Ive got a little break between now and then though. I'm kind of burnt out from all of the reading Ive been doing. My eyes and mind aren't used to this sort of behavior. The hole reading thing. Ive got to come back to reality for while for my husbands and kids sake. Anyways, I'm so psyched to see how it all goes down in the end. I'm a huge Edward fan and I'm rooting for him all the way, though I'm almost certain it will work out. Ill have to admit that the first book has to be my fav! I love the initial meeting, the meadow, the "lion fell in love with the lamb". . . I just loved everything about it.

Good Times. . .Good Friends

A couple of days ago, I think it was monday to be exact, we had the chance to go up to my families cabin up in cedar mountain. It was cold, it was wet, but it was alot of fun. Ty had gone up early with his sister and brother in law and our friend Mont to show them around and I stayed and waited for Andy(Monts wife) to get off of work and Klint and Summer followed Andy and I up as well. So we didn't get up there until late and of course Nixon was already covered in mud. We decided we were all hungry so Mont had pulled off the cover of the grill to turn it on and he opened it up and there were huge rats in it, not mice, rats! There were about four or five of them and they had made a nest in it. It was pretty gross. The guys shot their bows and guns while us women tended to the kids. We went for rides on the prowler and we just hung out for the most part. It was fun cause most of us have kids, so it was fun that they all played. We ate our tinfoil dinners and then we all sat around the fire and had s'mores. You know its so nice to be around people you enjoy and nice that everyone gets along with one another. Theres always something to talk about and stories to tell. Alot of stories! All and all it was a fun night with some good friends. I hope that we always have that!

Just an obsession... Nothing more!

So I finished the first book, Twilight, and am so excited to get started on book two, New Moon. I stayed up all night until about 3:30 in the morning and continued first thing in the morning. I missed sacrament meeting cause I lost track of time. I'm probably going to talk alot about these books cause I'm so addicted. I'm sure anyone and everyone would have to agree with me. I'm not sure why I'm so obsessed with the it, I just am. I feel like a teenager again when I read it. Just the fantasy of it all. I'm mean really... does that really happen to people. Obviously not the vampire part but just the whole love story part of it. I think not my friends, just in movies and books. I kind of wish vampires existed now!! I was telling my mom today that when I read It, I have my own soundtrack playing in my head as I read it and that obviously adds to the dramatics of it all. I'm sure that's not normal, but that's how into it I am. Enough with my rambling. I'm sure that's not the last ill post about the books so get used to it!!!

My New Favs!

So I'm totally addicted to two things right now, besides my babies of course. The first is the TV show Army Wives and its on lifetime. Love it!! It caught my eye last season but for some reason never watched it until they previewed all of the first seasons episodes to get ready for season two. I'm hooked. I'm not going to talk it up cause every time I do that it always back fires. I'm just saying its really good. The characters are great, the story line is great, its just great! It definatley makes me appreciate the
country we live in and the people who serve not to mention the families of the people who serve. I know its just a show but its based on the lives of those people. It definately makes you stop and think about the lives of those serving and again their families. I'm just happy to live where I do. Anyways... continuing on....

Second is the book Twilight. Now for anyone who knows me knows I don't read. I mean ever. It takes alot to get me excited about books. Though I read not to long ago one of the books from Nicholas Sparks. It was a great book.

Anyways...Back to Twilight... I'm hooked. I just started reading it last night and I'm more than half way done with it. For me that's pretty good. I know everyone has read it or else it wouldn't be on the bestsellers list. You know its a good book when they compare it to the Harry Potter books, by the way Ive never read those. And I just found out there is a movie coming out in December. You bet Ill be there along with everyone else. There is just something about a good love story mixed in with some great looking vampires(according to book). Nothing like "a little" violence, blood sucking, and romance. I'm totally into that kind of stuff. Anyways I'm so excited about finishing the books and even more excited for the movie.

Baby Rip!

Here are the pics I said I would get of baby Rip and his mama! Isnt he a cutie? So I just got these when I went to see my sister in law and I got to hold the baby for the first time cause every time ive been in there hes been in the nursery or under the light for his jaundice. Hes so tiny and cute. You forget how small new borns are. I told Ty that it makes me want another baby, but who am i kidding. I just dont think thats going to happen anytime soon cause the reality of another baby, im just not to sure about. Anyways, here are the pics. One more thing, I got an update on his breathing and hes finally doing so much better. Hes off the machine and everything is looking good!!

Ripken Rand Janes!

So its been kind of a wierd week this week. My brother had his baby on monday (well Tracy "had" the baby), its a boy and hes so cute from what I saw of him. It was kind of a scary thing, well not kind of, it was. Heres why. My sister in law had a regular check up on monday the 7th, she was only at a one but her blood pressure was really high so the doctor sent her down to labor and delivery. When she got there and setteled in, they checked her again and she was at a 2 1/2. So she was progressing on her own quite fast. They broke her water shortly after that and thats when things went south. Right after her water broke the cord came out and the baby was on the cord. Apparently thats not at all a good thing. So the babies heart rate went way way down so the doctor called for an emergency c-section. Of course this scarred Rand and Tracy to death. They rushed her down to the ER with the nurse elbow deep holding the baby in. Tracy had not had her epidural yet and they had no time to wait for her to get it so they had to cut. They numbed her skin so she didnt feel that but she felt the muscles being cut(could you imagine?) By then the anestegeoligist(?) got there and just put her completely out. They got the baby out and he was limp. They said he was fine. They compare it to holding your breath for so long that you pass out. Thats what he was like. Still, not fun! All the while, Rands in the hall not knowing whats going on. But, they have a beautiful 7lb 4oz baby boy and not to mention, the 7th was also Rands 28th birthday. I guess you can say it was a bitter sweet day for him. They are both still in the hospital at the moment, the babies breathing is not that stable and Tracy has to get blood transfusions cause she lost quite abit. Were so lucky to have both of them here and we are so glad that they were in and are still in such great hands. I dont have a pic of him but im going to be sure and get one. Hes adorable. So were glad to announce and welcome, Ripken Rand Janes, the new member of the ever growing Janes family!!

Happy 4th of July!!

This year for the 4th was alot of fun. We took the kids to the parade and then the park after. Ill admit that it was kind of hot but we made it through. In the previous years we've lived in St George so we didnt do much cause it was way to hot. Im not sure if they even have a parade or anything like that, but Im glad I got to take the babies, they had fun. Nixon just wanted to stand in the road and wait for the "trucks" and the candy. I had to ban the candy with the wrappers on them cause he would just eat all of it without unwrapping it. So really, he didnt get to eat much candy after that. Quin just hung out with grandpa and loved every minute of it. Its usually her nap time around that time but she pulled through it like a champ. It doesnt take much to get that girl happy. It was also alot of fun cause all of the cousins were there with us. They played all day together and had a great time. Later in the day we let the kids play in the water and thats always fun. We had a great dinner then went and watched fireworks. That also was a big hit. Of course cars would drive by and Nixon would get distracted and say or yell "truck, truck". According to him everything is a truck. It doesnt matter if its a car, tractor, dinosaur or even a plane. Hes pretty much convinced its a truck. I wish Ty could have been there with his babies but he was in New York for the week also having a great time. All and all the 4th was alot of fun!

Best Buddies

So Im so happy to announce that Nixon has a friend. I was worried for the longest time that Nixon wouldnt be able to play well with other kids cause he never really ever played with other kids. I always wanted him to have a little buddy that he could play with alot and we were so lucky to find Breckon. Breckon is also in our nursery class. (Yes, Ty and I are in the nursery.) Hes the cutest little guy ever and him and Nixon love to play. Ill have to say though, they kind of have a love hate relationship. They like the exact same things so sometimes its hard to share and when ones playing with something the other wants, well lets just say the boy comes out in them. Theyre so fun to watch. The pics that you see here were taken a while ago but they are so cute of the both of them and they had so much fun that day. Breckons parents are Kenny and Lacey Robinson, they are in our ward and Ty works with Kenny. We are, again, so lucky to have them as neighbors and friends. Were definately going to miss them when they move to Philly this August. Their little boy is adorable and we love that Nixon can have a best buddy!

If those arent the cutest little boys EVER!!
